Quoted from Twin Galaxies on how submission voting via peer review on WR works and the benefits of agreeing with the total verdict:
"When the voting period is over, and the results are computed – if what you voted matches the final result, you will be awarded CREDIBILITY POINTS and SUBMISSION POINTS. However, if what you voted does not match the final result, you will LOSE CREDIBILITY POINTS and receive NO SUBMISSION POINTS!"
This is key right here: "... you are able to change your vote as many times as you want, at any time you want, during the voting period. You may want to do this because you might learn more important information about a submission that could affect your voting choice after you have already voted."
So, what this says is, if you hold out on an opinion -say, vote "No" against the status quo that votes "Yes"- you will be penalized for not adjusting your vote to the vocal majority; that you may change your vote at any time seems like a benefit but you are most likely going to be coerced into changing your vote once you realize your opinion may be less supported and that you will undoubtedly risk being penalized for not conforming to the group's majority opinion. THIS IS GROUPTHINK.

PATRICK SCOTT PATTERSON SEE THIS HERE Something has come up that hasn't come up in the past. I'd like to take a moment to address it and am doing so here as Facebook doesn't give me 140 character limits as Twitter does. AND I NEED YOUR ATTENTION
NOW NOW The photo for the Women of Gaming section of my website, which has been doubling for pre-promotion for the return of Women Gamers Week on social media, has generated some interesting reaction on Twitter the past few times I used it there.
This criticism never existed in previous years. I've done this series since 2011 and have used graphics to promote it that entire time.
Today, and just recently as well, the criticism revolved around the attractiveness of the women in the photo. Assumptions were being made... mostly by women, mind you... that the women in the photo and/or in the series aren't "real gamers" because these people happen to find them attractive. Some are even adding in the idea that I should "choose women who are less attractive" for the features and/or the graphic.
Let's lay it out right here: I do not choose who to feature based on appearance, and I will not start now. I am not going to disqualify featuring a women in the video game world if they happen to be attractive, nor hunt for women to feature who people might consider unattractive just so I can fit some sort of social media satisfaction. THAT'S A LIE HE DOES CHOSE IT'S ALWAYS ATTRACTIVE FEMALES THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL THAT CAME TO HIM WITH MORE CREDENTIALS THAN ANY OF THESE WOMAN COMBINED NOT AS ATTRACTIVE AND HE IGNORE IT KIMBERLY CHAVEZ WAS ONE OF THEM HE IGNORED HER BECAUSE SHE IS FRIENDS WITH RUDY J. FERRETTI
AND AND I did the original Women Gamers Week in 2011 after two things happened: 1). The women's team at an eSports contest got zero mention in press coverage, yet the "booth babes" at that event did and 2). I saw a huge forum argument out there that claimed that "women only came into gaming recently" despite ESA stats showing otherwise.
The series was, and still is, aimed to go beneath the surface and talk about what got them into gaming, what influenced them to now, etc. The vast majority of those featured turned out to be gamers right out of their diapers and stuck with it for this whole time. Among the women featured to date include game developers, world record holders, eSports competitors, broadcasting personalities, game journalists, podcasters, studio executives, and more. Yes, there are also some actresses and models, either past or present... but their stories and "gaming credentials" are just as valid. As I noted, I am not going to pass on a legitimate feature simply because someone might find them attractive. Note that within the write-ups I never go the same directions that others who've featured women often do. I never call them "sultry" or act like they are a speckled unicorn.
The fact that people, both men and women, would pass judgement on those featured simply based on a photograph... based on their appearances... is why this series exists in the first place. I aim to shatter those assumptions and stereotypes.
It is disappointing that there are still so many, both men and women, who seem to be more stuck on a simple photograph and/or looks than the content I've worked so hard to produce in this fight over the years. That said, it also proves why it is important that I continue it. ALL COVER UP LIES SEE THE MORE A MAN OR WOMAN EXPLAINS IS THE MORE THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING
SEE It's funny what labels stick with a person and which do not.
Out of all the adventures I've gone on, one of the most searched continues to be inquiries about my wrestling days. When Stern Pinball announced a WWE pinball the other day, my inbox filled up. Not too long ago, someone on Twitter described me as a 'wrestling guy'
I'm puzzled by all of it.
Yes, I was in the wrestling business from late 1998 to early 2008. I did "one more match" in December 2009 and two commentary & social media spots for a wrestling company last year. AND RARELY EVER WON A MATCH LEFT BADLY INJURED DUE TO IT
But most of my audience and social media followers... ya'll never knew me in those days. Many of you who did know me back then never came out to a match and know little about it, nor is it like I talk about those days or anything related to WWE on my wall every day. HE BUYS ALL HIS FOLLOWERS LOOK FOR YOURSELF LOOK IT UP
AND AND I watch most WWE Raws and Pay-Per-Views. My reasons are my own. I hardly watched any of that from 2005-2011. I don't watch Smackdown. I don't watch TNA. I don't watch any indies or Japanese stuff or read any of the mags. AND THIS MATTERS WHY???? I have purchased two wrestling games since 2001 and haven't gone to a live event, aside from the two IHWE shows last year, since 2008. If you come up to me and ask me about an indie guy or something I won't know what the hell you are talking about. HE TALKS ABOUT WRESTLING JUST AS MUCH AS PANTY SNIFFING YOUNGER GIRLS LIKE PUSHING RACHEL LARAS NAME CALLING THE WOMAN HIS BEST FRIEND OVER HIS OWN WIFE
SEE The obvious thing to me would be for me to wear a label as a video game guy, which I do in most circles, but in some... the wrestling thing rides along with it. Why?
Things, besides video games, that I'm far more into than wrestling.
- NFL Football. Especially my Dallas Cowboys. Was heavy into fantasy football for a number of years and even dabbled in sportswriting for a couple of years. This time of year, especially if my team is doing well, I talk about it almost as much as video gaming. THATS A LIE Why am I not labeled as a football guy?
- American food. I can't cook worth a damn, but I sure enjoy eating it. We go out to eat often enough, and pretty much everywhere I go... I post pics of me trying out the local eating spots. Hell, I even appeared on a food-related TV show last summer. FOR A MIN AND REPOSTED IT 50 TIMES Why am I not labeled as a food guy?
- Television. Not just modern shows such as the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc... but the history of it in general. I've posted visits to filming locations and landmarks... post constantly about the changing TV landscape and various network decisions. Why am I not labeled as a TV guy, especially since that's the space I've been aiming to occupy professionally for years now?
I'm not complaining... not angry or upset... so those of you who wish to put that kind of context on this stop now. I'm not ashamed or anything either... I'm damn proud of what I did in the business... going from a literal joke to a main eventer across the state, numerous titles and national magazine recognition. A true worst-to-first... or close to it... that I busted my ass to accomplish.
But I left that behind... and I guess I'm curious why those who only learned about that part of my life post-career are so hung up on it over so many other things I feel are far more prominent.
I ALSO PUSHED BEING A DK CHAMP TO GET TO NEWS DESPERATE ATTENTION LIED ABOUT EVERY ACCOMPLISHMENT I EVER DID ENTERED MY OWN AND WIVES SCORES CREATED FAKE SUBMITTERS ON TG AS A REF SPOKE ILL ABOUT RUDY FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS FROM THE DAY I STARTED SUBMITTING SCORES AND BEGGED TO BE ON STAFF THAT BLAINE LOCKLEAR SHOE ME IN

I REALLY NEED HELP
Cat DeSpira They wouldn't. He's a share holder.
CLAIMS BILLY MITCHELL IS STILL A SHARE HOLDER PROVE IT BITCH ?????
Patrick Scott Patterson AND THE THING Thing is... and you won't hear this from many of the Armchair Quarterbacks out there, as they fail to realize it... but it's not like Quintriplet Asteroids is some sort of major league brand. We're going into the re-written history I spoke of before. AND RE WROTE HISTORY OF LIES To hear some peoples claims, the place exploded after the KoK. This is not true. When I came on the staff in October 2008 the site was drawing just a few hundred hits a day... NOT EVEN A FEW HUNDRED A WEEK some of the lowest traffic in the history of the organization. Submissions were at a pitiful low... Kelly would attest to all of this, among others. Totally agreed that you can't expect unpaid refs to verify ungodly amounts of tapes, which is what part of my job there originally was to help change, but Pete wouldn't allow me to do the job he brought me in to do. LIES BECAUSE I DID MY OWN THING I SAID SO MANY TIMES I HAD NOBODY TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO AND THAN LIKE THE CUNT I AM I DID WHAT I WAS TOLD TO DO...
We'd heard the peer review thing all the time... but it's already clear why that was a piss poor horrible idea. Had Jason Hall kept his word to me, I'd have suggested major changes to the challenge rules that might have had THAT subject to peer review under certain circumstances... but not the whole system. Not everyone is qualified enough... it's become a popularity contest clickbait method here, which might be all the new ownership cares about. An alternative as Tony notes? There are some... one could argue that RecordSetter, while not video game specific, has a far greater public reach. Also comes to mind that there might not be a better chance for a new something-something to pop up. The DKheads have already proven along with other communities such as ScoreHero and the Super Mario Kart and speedrunning communities that the alleged 30+ year scorekeepers aren't even needed, really. (I say alleged as I think the 1998-1998 blackout is noteworthy, esp. since the scoreboard had to be rebuild from scratch)

TELLS US MORE LIES PATRICK
Patrick Scott Patterson At this point I've tired of fighting. So few care about my fight up to now... and many now even re-write all that into pure fiction, even though they weren't even there when I was. It almost deserves to fall if the inmates are running the asylum and the warden thinks that's okay. Save the history from the smoldering ashes to come. FOUGHT TO STAY RELEVANT HARM ANYONE AND EVERYONE TO MAKE MYSELF LOOK GOOD LIE CHEAT ANYTHING
RED HEAD PIG AGAIN SPEAK SEE It's almost as if the new management does not take WR seriously and/or views them as unimportant. I don't think they realize that a world record caliber player is a craftsman, someone able to do something that less than 1% of the world can do. They don't see the artistry, intelligence or superior skillset it takes to achieve a WR; or what that even means to the person achieving it under circumstances that oftentimes brings intense physical pain, such as in marathon situations. I don't think they even realize the amazing moment of elation the player feels when they reach their goal and all that pain and anxiety washes away into bliss. WR caliber players are not "gamers". They are something entirely different. They deserve respect beyond what they have often received in the past and this new system does not give them that. You don't treat a WR Champion like "a gamer" and set him/her up to be judged by people who don't have the knowledge he/she has. There is absolutely nothing casual about what a WR caliber player does....EVER. They are not common.
This new system tells me they don't understand WR caliber players or respect their craft as much as they claim they do. For if they did, they wouldn't subject them to the gross indignity of having to face a peer review adjudication process and risk being judged by people who may not know what the hell they are looking at, or even care.
JUST LIKE I AND OTHERS NEVER DID EITHER
Patrick Scott Patterson SEE What I find wild, Brittney, is that this was behavior I saw from men in the past that sparked me into doing these in the first place. 9/10th of those assuming things by the photo alone the past few days? Women... either making assumptions about those in the photo and/or about me based on nothing but a single photograph. I guess there is a lot more work to be done.
SURE THEY DID
Patrick Scott Patterson I CHOSE WOMAN ... the same way that I choose men that I have done feature articles on over the years: They've done something that got by attention. They've accomplished something, have a great backstory and a great work ethic... they have actual goals and dreams and don't expect things to be handed to them... good representatives for gaming. Some that I've featured in the past have become great friends after the fact... because I get along with people like that. LIES I LEFT MANY OUT THAT DID MORE THAN ANY MAN OR WOMAN I EVER WROTE ABOUT
Patrick Scott Patterson SEE One incident in doing this series is worth noting, though: One past feature was on an indie game developer. She provided me with no photographs, so I picked her profile photo at the time. In that photo she had a single button undone on her shirt, showing maybe an inch of cleavage. A big nutty thing blew up on N4G about that inch of cleavage... people focusing more on that than her awesome backstory, focus and drive. I got hate mail and threats for it for about a day and a half, in fact. Last fall... I saw that same indie dev passing judgement on another woman for... guess what... a photo that showed some cleavage. I found that disappointing in so many ways. I have never had a single remark sent to me over a photo of any of the hundreds of men I've featured with the one exception over Vincent Lemay not wearing a shirt, of course. Again, something that tells me why this series needs to continue.
I NEVER FEATURED HUNDREDS OF MEN
Patrick Scott Patterson The most ironic thing here? The photos chosen for the current graphic were picked based on photo quality, brightness and what direction they were facing. Obviously I'm going to want to use high-res photos in a promotional graphic... and I wanted someone looking forward with two on her left looking left and two on her right facing right... and I clearly can't make a graphic that fits everyone ever featured in there.
NOT ONE PHOTO I EVER USED WAS HIGH RESOLUTION
Patrick Scott Patterson Brittney... I hear you across the board on that one, and that is what baffles me a bit this time around. In the past, the features I did in this series helped form friendships and bring new eyes to some of the people I featured. One of my favorite nights ever on Twitter was when several women I featured in the series all followed each other and had a great time interacting with each other. Today (and a few days ago as well) I got this venom from women mostly, which hadn't happened before.. at least not to me. It was as if I was being told I "shouldn't" feature women if they happen to be attractive, too.... or being considered a dog for doing so.
BECAUSE I CLEARLY GO FOR LOOKS
Patrick Scott Patterson And I will put an asterisk in here: This is similar to the criticism levied toward Dave Danzara's No Princess in the Castle, a film I was attached to as a co-writer until I signed the TV development deal. One person actually went on a "podcast" (I use the term loosely here) to state that we "needed to add some ugly chicks" to the cast. Like... seriously? They even went so far as to alter a screen capture of the cast page to include a person who... I can only assume... they considered to be an "ugly chick" I LEFT PRINCESS IN THE CASTLE BECAUSE I WAS NO USE FOR THE FILM
Cat DeSpira Some of the most bitter comments I sustained were from other women. No Princess in the Castle got a lot from other women who felt that I, as a feminist, were either anti-feminine or a sell-out for casting women who had society's ideal beauty. Not to bore anyone to death, but little girls are socialized from a very early age in our culture to judge and prejudge other females by their appearance and negate them on it; too fat, too thin, to slutty, too bitchy, etc. We are taught to compete for affection and attention against other females and not to support each other. This carries over into adulthood in the form of resentment for any woman who pushes against these ideologies and allies with other women rather than tear down. As a woman, and an older one at that, I know that no matter what I do I will be judged by other females more harshly than I will be by males in many circumstances. As a feminist, that judgement will be harsher. Never pretty enough. Never young enough. Never soft enough. Never strong enough. Never anything enough. I'd rather deal with chauvinism from men than face it from a women. From a woman it actually hurts more.
You know what? Fuck 'em. There is a special place in hell for women who don't support other women. It's especially hot for those who pass judgement on their appearance before weighing their accomplishments. When I think of how far we would have come if women supported each other like men do....depressing to think of it.
"God help you if you are an ugly girl. Of course, too pretty is also you're doom; for everyone harbors a secret hatred for the prettiest girl in the room..." ALL LIES I CLAIM AND TALK NEVER PROVIDE EVIDENCE
PATRICKS LIES AGAIN SEE It's funny what labels stick with a person and which do not.

IT'S A FABRICATED STORY HE HAS NO PROOF OF ANY OF THESE CLAIMS NONE EXCEPT WRESTLING FOR 10 YEARS AND BEING ON A SHOW FOR 10 SEC
Patrick Scott Patterson Appreciated... and to be honest, I don't know what records and do and do not still hold. Not something of importance to me. At one time I'd held the arcade records on Lock 'n' Chase, Mr. Do's Castle tournament settings, Robot Bowl, Jr. Pac-Man turbo, Rampage 3-player and a few other silly ones I did on a whim. (And yes, people, all except the Jr. Pac score were done live in front of people. *ahem*).
DOESNT CARE ABOUT SCORES BUT MENTIONS THEM
Patrick Scott Patterson Yeah... it's kinda funny, as I own several of the machines I'd set scores on years ago but never did on here... I wanted to show off live. Rob... from my seat, I post more often about NFL and television stuff than I do wrestling. As I said, I just find it funny which labels stuck and which doesn't. I could talk in far more detail about the NFL than I could about any wrestling more recent than 2003 or 04...
BUT I NEVER CARED ABOUT SCORES THAN OR NOW
Patrick Scott Patterson Yes, that was Scott Phoenix with two of the three belts he held at that point in time. Hope you aren't remotely serious, though. This is exactly what I'm talking about. I find my present far more interesting than then.
LIKE IT MATTERS ALL WRESTLING ESPECIALLY THE KIND I DID WAS FAKE
Patrick Scott Patterson Thank you... but also note I never said it was a bad thing. I'm simply more puzzled as to why some label me as something that, if I was to make a list, I'd list a dozen things ahead of in regards to my interests, especially when you consider that those who DID know me in my wrestling days never talk to me about my wrestling days... they talk to me about what I do now.... and most of those who go the other way never knew me in those days to begin with.
I POST FOR ATTENTION AND TO LIE BUT ALWAYS NEED TO ARGUE AND CLARIFY
Patrick Scott Patterson I'll do an autobiography when I'm done with my adventures... so look for one on my 90th birthday. I'll leave it to others out there to do documentaries on themselves... not my style there. That'd be tacky.

SEE The pointless waste of time in you contributing to a high score thing when I DON'T have any high scores MYSELF it's irrelevant. Just like hamburgers or goldfish or basket weaving.

SMELLY BOY WING GUY, this is MY fault for making a mockery and score fixing. Fact. Move on to what I AM good at ... hanging out with the hipster gamer girls to boost MY ego and presenting children with awards to help swell MY already over sized head
not to mention BEING YOURSELF which we have YET TO SEE
Neither of US two people have any input that is worth anyone's time reading on a message board about something WE both obviously use as a tool to help pass the time of day and make OUR Facebook pages moist and wet
Leaving the limelight for eye candy is the OLDEST PROMOTIONAL TOOL EVER FACT
RED HEAD PIG I'm a 50 year old woman refusing to go through menopause and hang on the attention I get form gaming that i don't get anywhere else in life
Smelly BOY I had a super pacman machine for YEARS ON end
you don't have a game like that in your living that LONG in a 2x4 shack to not have aspirations of becoming the HIGH SCORE CHAMP BUT I make the excuses to say I never cared about high score than or now because I CANNOT PLAY TO A HIGH LEVEL
Notice I never mentioned anything about Robbie Lakemans recent smash of Super Pacman
In fact it wouldn't shock people IF I RAN to craigslist right now to one for sale IN TEXAS

I ALSO PUSHED BEING A DK CHAMP TO GET TO NEWS DESPERATE ATTENTION LIED ABOUT EVERY ACCOMPLISHMENT I EVER DID ENTERED MY OWN AND WIVES SCORES CREATED FAKE SUBMITTERS ON TG AS A REF SPOKE ILL ABOUT RUDY FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS FROM THE DAY I STARTED SUBMITTING SCORES AND BEGGED TO BE ON STAFF THAT BLAINE LOCKLEAR SHOE ME IN
BUT THEN BASHED THAT COMMUNITY AND SAID NEVER CARED ABOUT SCORES THAN OR NOW AND THAN LATER POST ABOUT OTHERS AND ARTICLES BUT PUT IT DOWN 5 MINS LATER SAYING OLD GAMES DON'T MATTER

But most of my audience and social media followers... ya'll never knew me in those days. Many of you who did know me back then never came out to a match and know little about it, nor is it like I talk about those days or anything related to WWE on my wall every day.
I watch most WWE Raws and Pay-Per-Views. My reasons are my own. I hardly watched any of that from 2005-2011. I don't watch Smackdown. I don't watch TNA. I don't watch any indies or Japanese stuff or read any of the mags. I have purchased two wrestling games since 2001 and haven't gone to a live event, aside from the two IHWE shows last year, since 2008. If you come up to me and ask me about an indie guy or something I won't know what the hell you are talking about.
The obvious thing to me would be for me to wear a label as a video game guy, which I do in most circles, but in some... the wrestling thing rides along with it.
Why am I not labeled as a football guy?
- American food. I can't cook worth a damn, but I sure enjoy eating it. We go out to eat often enough, and pretty much everywhere I go... I post pics of me trying out the local eating spots. Hell, I even appeared on a food-related TV show last summer. Why am I not labeled as a food guy?

ADVENTURES WITH 10 YEAR YOUNGER GIRLS I WILL NEVER LAY
CONCLUSION ON THESE TWO
SHORT RESPONSE RED HEAD PIG , I just went to a hamburger forum and told people how to cook hamburgers.
SEE The pointless waste of time in you contributing to a high score thing when I DON'T have any high scores MYSELF it's irrelevant. Just like hamburgers or goldfish or basket weaving.
Nobody cares about your input because you have nothing to relate to.
